used my 50mm prime lens to prevent any mold from growing... :/ haha

using flash... diffused it using a tissue paper

used torchlight to shine the spot in the middle.

if you guys have not known, i am working 2 part time jobs.
yes.
i think some people still dont know this yet. lol

the 1st is of course the playgroup that i go to.
the 2nd is being an art teacher at amk.
yeah, all teaching related... totally no relations to what i am studying in the U now. :/

anyw, i brought home paint brushes (actually to clean them up) and decided to paint with acrylic paint.
omg. like this box of acrylic paint i have at home now is like at least 7 years old.
some have dried up of course, but i still managed to find some paint still well and alive...
dunno what i have painted... but up to your imagination.

took this picture using a tripod.... ISO 100, Aperture f/22.0, Shutter 30s.
erh. used this settings coz i wanted to capture the details.
actually not much details anyw, but i could see the difference between using this setting and the P-mode. the brush looks much detailed and finer to me. :D

i abruptly went back to my secondary school today to visit the band.

its been 5 years since graduation.... i am super old i know

SYF (Singapore Youth Festival) competition is just a week away from now.

it was a fun-filled saturday night after attending two 21st birthday parties :)

the lack of updates is pretty much due to the packed working and school schedules.
tests and exams are coming up, and expect even lesser updates :/

yeah. boring i know.

but here is something nice to know!
i received 2 lenses for my 21st birthday :)
many thanks to friends that chipped into these lenses.

both are zoom lenses which i really needed after realising that my prime 50mm cant take nice group shots.
one is EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS,
the other is EF-S 55-250mm f/4-5.6 IS.
it is pretty much a kit II all together :)

as you can see the presents i received, there are the 2 lenses :)

anyw, i took this photo which was a joke among my jc mates.

now, the more i shouldn't get a iphone. hahaha

anyw, sorry for the lack of updates
been busy recently.
to compensate, i will post up some photos that i will be taking from the Singapore Zoo soon.
i will be heading down there tmr. :)

luckily i managed to borrow a zoom lens from my cousin.
if not it will be quite difficult to take group shots.

this zoom lens - EF 17-40mm f/4.0 L USM is heavy la. hahaha anyw, i took a photo of myself using this lens, then tweaked with B&W

its been a while since i posted something here.

anyw, have you guys watched Avatar.... the 2D or 3D?
hey hey, i watched both.

well, the difference between both is that the 3D focuses on the main character, the rest of the images becomes blurry. like the same effect as 'bokeh'
for me, i preferred the 2D coz it wasn't as dizzy when watching the 3D with the glasses on.
ultimtely, the show is AWESOME :D

anyw, took a photo of the 3D glasses. this thing costs SGD85 for replacement. ridiculously expensive :/

yesterday's events:

met up with jg to go to PSA building at Alexandra Road. we wanted to collect free vouchers to Taiwan so we went to the Taiwan Representative Office in Singapore (at PSA building). when we arrived, the person told us that we needed to head down to the Tourism Board at Shenton Way instead. wasted trip there because of wrong info from sm.

since we still had time before jg needs to go to work, i brought her to Hort Park!! she has never been there before.

anyw, i had been planning to go back to Hort Park since the last time i went there together with the photography club. and because i wanted to go to the Henderson Waves. :)

we walked like 3 bus stops from PSA building there.

then

we could also see the Alexandra Arch

and that is the Forest Walk

damn excited for me, coz thought that the Henderson Waves damn near.

wait till i tell you how far i walked the entire journey :/

i was praying that it wouldnt rain since it was raining damn heavily in the early morning.

sadly, it rained heavily for awhile. but luckily the both of us brought umbrellas.

we walked around but didnt buy anything. anyw, partly because i needed my henna to dry, we ate dinner at 9pm.

reached home at 10.30pm after this tiring day, but was forced by my mother to help her do her work. :/ - send out greeting cards which includes stamping her company's chop, paste the address on every envelop, paste the stamp, fold the greeting card and slot it in, and seal the envelop. and guess what.... 200 odd envelops okay!!! now u know why i slept at 2 am.

i dont understand why my mother couldnt ask my brother to do it when he reached home earlier than i did. :/

look at the screen on the back. cool huh. the eyes really glow. and i think it stands at at least 2m tall.
but the sad part was that when the person started to walk and swing his arms for the action for his play, all of his props/gear/whatever came falling off. :/ and it was a Singapore team. kinda diu lian.

and this reminds me that i need to return the camera that i borrowed from a friend who lend it to me for more than a month already!!!
hopefully i can meet him tmr and pass it to him.

then, the Singapore Duck Tours, which i think is a total rip off :/ this thing can travel on land and sea.

here are some pictures of the Esplanade aka the 'durain', the world's largest floating platform, the Singapore Flyer (apparently also the largest ferris wheel in the world, correct me if i am wrong :/), and also the Merlion.

see all those things in the sea? they are giant white balls with new year wishes written on them and then threw into the sea. Singapore is such a 'FINE' city eh.

if you are thinking of heading down there to take pictures. please bring along a pair of sunglasses, cap, hat, umbrella, sunblock etc, whatever that shades you. the sun is scorching like nobody's business.

i saw this cat sitting along the staircase area and decided to snap snap!!
